2020 Fall Outing and Memorial Shoot

August 30 we hosted our yearly Fall Outing and this year we combined it with our Memorial Shoot which we normally have in June. We didn’t have the Memorial Shoot in June due to the virus.

It was a glorious day. The weather couldn’t have been better and this event was well attendded.

We honored Bill Roache and Ed DeLonge. Ed’s wife, Jane, and her Chikldren were there and they brought a beautiful photo arrangement.

We honored Bill and Ed because these two guys are what clubs are all about. Bill and Ed spent countless hours at Lower Merion on Thursdays. This is the day at the club all of the work got done. Cleaned and performed maintenance on the trap machines, fixed and cleaned anything from a vacuum cleaner to the tractor. Lower Merion benefited from many hours that these 2 guys put in.

Thanks Bill Thanks Ed

We had 27 shooters for the 100 bird shoot. Class A was won by John Gallagher with a 95, Class B was won by Steve K with a 87 and Class C was won by John Chain with a 82.

Thanks to all the shooters who came out.

We Roasted a pig, cooked up fresh corn, ate many salads and deserts that many of the ladies baked and brought. We also had hay wagon rides for the kids.

I think everyone had a good time and I thank everyone for attending.
