Lower Merion Rod and Gun Club

I have been trying to nail down a good date for the Fall Outing and I think we have it. The problem has been the availability of Bob so we can continue to cook the pig. Well, check our calendar and we are going for Sept. 30, 2017. It’s a Saturday and that is different from previous years. September is a tough month with the holiday and the end of summer. I hope you can all come out with your family and guests and enjoy the day with us.

We had a very successful meat shoot on Sunday 2/19/17 My Thanks go out to many people who make these shoots what they are. We had Gary White, Randy Markley, Tom Kershner, Barry Walker, Walt Neuruck, Mike T, Brian and Karen Sabo, Chick, John Shivak, Angela Yost, Dean, Chuck, and others scoreing and loading house. If I missed anyone i’m sorry.

The schedule is on the calendar and please note that the Fall Outing and Appreciation Shoot with rides for the kids and corn and a Roasted Pig is going to be on a Saturday this year, so come on out with the family and have some great fun with everyone. If you want to bring snacks that will be great but please, if you can, Don’t bring burgers and dogs as we had alot of pig left over due to people not hungry when the pig was ready. Last night at the Membership meeting we had a vote to fill the vacancy on the board due to the passing of Harry Keller. There were 4 people nominated from the floor at the December meeting, Randy Markley, Jack Smith, Mike Nesbitt, and Mark Betzko. The results of the election were as follows: Mark Betzko 11 votes, Randy Markley 4 votes, Jack Smith 3 votes, and Mike Nesbitt 0 votes.

We welcome Mark to the Managing Board.

There is a Meat Shoot at LMRG on Sunday 1/15/2017 come on out and have a good time with us and take home some meat.

On Jan. 10th at 7pm we are having a meeting at the club. There is going to be a vote to fill Harry Kellar’s position. There are 4 people running for this position. Randy Markley, Mike Nesbit, Jack Smith, and Mark Betzko. To vote you must be a Regular member for at least 2 yrs and dues must be paid. I hope to see everyone there.

There will be no shooting at the club On Jan. 1, 2017 due to the holiday
